Tennis in the "rain"
Coral
This is a picture of Model Coral. I took this photo at her house. I use two lights #1 430ex at 1/2 power behind and to the right of the model, and a cheap strobe in front and to the right of Coral.
Had to use the cheap strobe beacose I broke my other two speed lights in a similar shoot.
The camera was a canon 7d with a 17-85 lence

Amanda
I took this photo of model Amanda at what I'm calling my studio... (A place that a good friend is letting me use for free). Thanks Alfredo... I was experimenting with the lighting set up, and I have to say I'm very happy with the result.
What do you think! Pleas comment... Thanks!

Kathy Exia
This is Kathy Exia
She is a two time gold medalist in the 2011 Tae Kwon Do World tournament held in Scotland. And I'm pretty sure she's got a lot more medals and title's under her belt.
She is the perfect model for this type of photo shoot.
(She told me to say that or she would kick my a$$...) But really she is... She can hold that pose for a long time. (Over 30 seconds).
I shot this photo on a chroma key (green) back ground. I use the canon 7d, an EF 28-135, two really cheap slave strobe with shoot thru umbrella and a EX 430 with a small EZ soft box.
Hopefully I'll be taking more pictures of her and the dance group she belongs to.
For next time I'll try to get some back stage pictures of the action or maybe some video.

Mikaelle & iPhone
I took this picture of Mikaelle in Margarita's Restaurant in Plaza las Americas... This has become a ritual for us on the weekends that we are together. Going to different restaurants Is kind of a father daughter activity that has replace are photo safaris.
She didn't want me to take a picture of her, but is hard not to specially when I see her only every other weekend.
I specially like the way the light from the iphone illuminates her face.

Sibling Love
Cyan is a friend of my daughter Mikaelle. She met her at the Aguadilla ice skating rink and became fast friends.
I took this photograph at their house in her sister's bedroom. The room was a lot smaller that I had anticipated and it made me rethink the photo.
I was going to use a three light set up with a white backdrop. In the end I shot it with one light in a small softbox.
Im very happy with the end result; and I think it came out better than the original idea.
Some times not having what you want is better for your creativity.
PS: I accidentally dropped the 50mm 1.4 and broke the glass. arrrrrrg!

Taisha Model
I bought this lens because I gave up on saving for the EF 50mm 1.2. Every time I had enough money to buy it; life would hit me with something new; car would brake down, equipment would brake or be stolen, or I would get a letter from my ex-wife lawyer.
Last one been the worst and most expensive.
Hopefully one day I will be able to buy the EF 50mm 1.2, till then the 1.4 is an excellent lens.
Nothing Special
This was the first picture I took with the 50mm lens. This is a very sharp, very fast lens. This will probably be on mi camera for most of the time i'm shooting...
If you don't have a 50mm on your camera bag you don't no what you are missing. This type of lenses are specially good for shooting portrade. I didn't want this particular lens but it is excellent non the less.
Hopefully I will be able to save enough to buy the EF 50mm 1.2.
Iguana, Cabo Rojo Light House
This was the first time I had been to the light house an seen the iguanas. There are now hundreds of iguanas all over.
The Cabo Rojo Light House is a must see if you are in the western side of Puerto Rico. Is in the middle of a wild life refuge and is place to one of the most beautiful beach in Puerto Rico.
